Jan Croatt co-founded Winston Retail in 2003 in New York City with a vision to solve what she saw as a glaring need in the industry: to elevate the customer experience in physical retail so brands could tell a compelling story to drive results. Her expertise in strategic planning, creative development and flawless in-store execution merged to create a one-stop agency that has gone on to partner with some of the world’s most iconic brands and retailers.
Before Winston, Jan's career took her to leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co, Kenneth Cole and Polo Jeans Ralph Lauren where she led various functions including global head of store planning and visual merchandising.
Winston Retail has grown exponentially since 2003, adding multiple global brands to the portfolio in fashion, footwear, athletic wear, home and beauty. Today, Jan leads a team of over 3,500 retail experts across the U.S. who bring expertise in field visual merchandising, creative services, training and operations. The team serves over 100 brands with unique needs and opportunities to the serve the ever-evolving and dynamic world of retail.
Jan continues to support rising retail talent by way of the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing, at the University of Arizona via internships, mentoring, job placement, and as a member of the board.
